Warner Bros. Discovery unveiled its management team for the Nordics, led by Christina Sulebak, who was named CEO of the company in June.
Among the key appointments, Pil Gundelach Brandstrup will assume primary responsibility for content and planning across the region, continuing as content leader for Denmark. Among other key appointments, Ronnie Patel will be responsible for content licensing; Kasper Krieger will be responsible for the advertising sales business in the region; Jesper Steenberg will oversee the new consolidated distribution team; Thor Fredrik Dreyer will lead distribution for theater, games and home entertainment; Jesse Ross Scarvad is responsible for film, game and home entertainment marketing and advertising; And Morten Johannesen will continue to oversee sports operations across Scandinavia.
François Simonetta, who reports to the WBD Global Brands and Experiences team, will continue to oversee the region’s consumer products, working closely with the Nordic leadership team.
“Rebecca Rohrmark has decided to explore new opportunities, but will lead the marketing of our Discovery Channel portfolio, commercial marketing for HBO Max and advertising during the transition,” the company said.
Sanny Ekstrand, senior vice president of operations, who has been with the company since 2018, and Johan Mannerhill, general manager, Nordics for home entertainment and gaming, are leaving the company.
The company also announced that a head of finance, operations, research and information for the Nordic region will be appointed shortly. “Cool, people and culture and corporate communications will be announced later,” he added.
