Studio Ramsay Global (SRG), the newly formed production company created by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and Fox Entertainment, has made its first senior executive hire, appointing Cyrus Farrokh as Senior Vice President of Strategy.
Based in Los Angeles, Farokh will work closely with Ramsay; Fox Entertainment’s president of alternative and specialty entertainment Rob Wade; and Lisa Edwards, Creative Director at Studio Ramsay Global, in distributing SRG content to distribution platforms around the world. The company, launched last year, produces shows like Fox’s next level chef and the future Gordon RamsayFoodStars.
Prior to joining the company, Farrokh was head of distribution for Propagate Content for Ben Silverman and Howard Owens. He worked closely with Fox in selling the series’ international rights from Fox Alternative Entertainment and unscripted formats.
“I have known and admired Cyrus for many years as he represented FAE intellectual property with great energy, creativity and determination,” said Wade. “He has been invaluable in growing our presence around the world, and as we celebrate SRG’s first anniversary and begin building its leadership team, we are excited to bring his talent, experience and instincts to Cyrus.” in Gordon’s fast-growing content portfolio and growth plans.”
Prior to Propagate, Farokh worked at Electus, Endeavor and Media Rights Capital.
With offices in London, Los Angeles and Glasgow, SRG serves as the exclusive factory for all Ramsay items. The company develops, produces and distributes unscripted shows starring and/or produced by Scottish chefs and television.
