On the occasion of D23 Expo, Disney released the first teaser trailer of the live-action film de The little mermaidfilm starring singer and actress Halle Bailey as Ariel, which will debut in theaters worldwide on May 26, 2023.

The Little Mermaid is directed by Academy Award nominee Rob Marshall and written by two-time Oscar nominee David Magee (“Life of Pi”, “Neverland – A Dream for Life”). The film is based on the short story by Hans Christian Andersen and the 1989 Disney animated film by Ron Clements and John Musker.
