While streaming giants like Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery signaled a slowdown in content spending, Sony Pictures has yet to feel the change.
“I don’t think content spending has changed dramatically. The management of companies has changed dramatically,” said Tony Vinciquerra, president and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Speaking at the Conference of Media, Communications and Entertainment of Bank of America Securities 2022 for young people, Vinciquerra said that Sony Pictures, which has a five-year first-sale license agreement with Netflix and a similar agreement with Disney, is not “very worried”. ” on the rhetoric and did not change production plans.
