BBC series will chronicle Ozzy and Sharon’s return to England and other aspects of family life

Ozzy Osbourne (artistic name of John Michael Osbourne) recently revealed that he will return to rural Buckinghamshire, England, after living for 20 years in bustling Los Angeles, United States. THE BBC Productions will show the return of Ozzy and Sharon to the UK and other aspects of family life with a new docuseries entitled Home to Roost (2023).

Home to Roost is scheduled to air in 2023 as a 10-episode, 30-minute series. The announcement comes 20 years after the family’s reality show The Osbournes (2002) aired for the first time on MTV.

According to the press release of the BBC, Home to Roost will also document Sharon and Ozzy’s children, jack and Kellyincluding moments of pregnancy with Sid Wilsonof Slipknot. Aimee, the couple’s third child, chose to stay out of the spotlight, as she did with The Osbournes (2002).

Home to Roost will be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face illness and the challenges of aging, but with Osbourne’s usual eccentricities, humour, warmth and love.

Sharon and Ozzy originally stated that they were moving back to England due to the high taxes in Los Angeles, but more recently said they were “fed up” with the mass shootings in the United States, as well as the division of the country.

“Meet the osbournes when they return to the UK it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said series creative directors Ben Wicks and Colin Barr. “Twenty years ago they shaped television for all of us – now they are returning home to a different stage in their lives, but with the promise of the same laughs, love and tears.”

There is no information on when and where Home to Roost will air in other locations, but it is known that international rights are being negotiated, as determined by the portal consequence.
