According to the official synopsis released by Netflix, “Six months have passed since the Battle of Starcourt, which left a trail of terror and destruction in Hawkins. As they continue to deal with the aftermath, the group of friends part ways for the first time – and navigating the complexities of school doesn’t make things any easier.”

“In this most vulnerable moment, a new, even more terrifying supernatural threat emerges, bringing a great mystery that, if solved, could be the key to ending the horrors of the Upside Down.”

While Eleven is in another city, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Max (Sadie Sink), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and others fight a new threat in Hawkins, and despite her feeling that she can no longer use her powers, without Eleven it could be that they are in more danger than they realize.

The trailer shows the older protagonists with new looks, as well as dark and chilling scenes, with lots of special effects and new enemies. In addition, it is also possible to see quick scenes of new characters and scenarios.
