Snazzle Os snacks will be sold at stores specializing in the controlled marijuana trade in California
Snoop Dogg tapped into his enthusiasm for cannabis and launched Snazzle The, a brand of “marijuana-infused” snack foods. In addition to snacks, the rapper is also a businessman in the spirits business with indogoinspired by his own 1994 hit, “Gin & Juice” .
The onion-flavored snack contains THC, tetrahydrocannabinol, the active ingredient responsible for the plant’s hallucinogenic effects. Therefore, the product will first arrive exclusively at stores specializing in the controlled marijuana trade in California.
The snack is the result of the partnership between Snoop Dogg and cannabis investment company Casa Verde, as learned by the magazine Food and Wine. Together, they both invested in startup Tsumo Snacks, which makes cannabis-based edibles.
The delicacy, promoted as “a THC version of the legendary rapper’s favorite snack”, will have two variations: an onion flavor and another with a spicy onion flavor. In a release note, the rapper commented on the creation process behind the treat and stated that each package will offer the consumer around 100 mg of tetrahydrocannabinol.
