Venom 3 he found his director. According to some inside sources, the next film starring Tom Hardy will be directed by Kelly Marcel.
Marcel previously worked with the franchise as writer and producer of the first two films. While in the direction of the first there is Reuben Fleischer (Zombieland) and the second, Andy Serkis. In Venom: Rage of Carnage we also saw the debut of Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady / Carnage. Kelly Marcel and Tom Hardy are therefore reunited for the third chapter that will also see Marcel behind the camera. As producers besides them we have Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios renew with this film the collaboration in the Spider-Man universe, which brought films like Morbius and soon Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web to the cinemas. However, currently, the universe of Spider-Man characters is still not one of his Peter Parker.
Deadline it was also reported that the third installment of the symbiote franchise would be the last of Eddie Brock’s story. Marcel is best known for writing Fifty Shades of Grey, and producing the first two Venom films.
It’s currently unknown what the film will be about, but Tom Hardy has already spoken to Esquire, about what he wants for a third Venom film and reports that Sony is thinking the same way .
