A24 revealed today the first official image of The Iron Nailthe next biopic written and directed by Sean Durkin starring Zac Efron.
The film is inspired by the life of a professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and the Von Erich family. In addition to Efron, the film sees its cast Harris Dickinson, Jeremy Allen White, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany and Lily James. The title of the film, The Iron Claw, was inspired by the last step of the Fritz Von Erichancestor of the wrestler family.
Synopsis:
The film centers on the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who have had a major impact on pro wrestling from the 1960s to the present day and popularized the submission move Iron Claw. But in addition to fighting their battles in the ring, the family also faced a lot of drama outside the ring, in what has gone down in history as the “curse of Von Erich”.
