The doctor has debunked the world’s most popular hot food: Not as healthy as it looks!

There is an opinion that hot foods are much more beneficial for our body than cold foods. However, gastroenterologists are convinced that this statement has nothing to do with the truth.

“Make sure to eat soup or something hot!” – we heard this phrase from our grandmothers and mothers, it seems, a thousand times. But is hot food really as useful as we’ve been taught since childhood? Gastroenterologists are convinced that in fact this popular opinion is nothing more than a myth.

In an interview with one of the Russian publications, gastroenterologist Natalya Marchenko said that we do not need to eat soup or other hot foods every day. According to the doctor, the most comfortable for a person is to eat at about the same temperature as our body. In this case, it is more rational to eat food at room temperature.

“If we are talking about breakfast, then the same yoghurt is balanced in terms of protein, fat and carbohydrates, if it is a natural product without obvious preservatives or colorings. There is no need for regular hot meals,” – said the doctor.

However, the gastroenterologist noted that there are foods that it makes sense to eat exclusively hot. These include foods rich in fats: in a solid state (that is, cold), they are less well absorbed by the body than in a softened, that is, hot form.
