Country Music Hall of Fame Medallion Ceremony Continues After Naomi Jade’s Death

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will continue the medals ceremony as scheduled Sunday night following the death of Naomi Judd in Nashville Saturday night, which was to be held in Judas’ name, with her daughter Winona.

A spokesperson for the Country Music Hall of Fame said Wainona Judd will attend the ceremony.

Kyle Young, Executive Director of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, added in a statement:We are shocked and saddened by the passing of Naomi Judd, who will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow as a member of the mother-daughter duo The Judds.

The message continued: “Naomi has overcome an incredible tragedy on her way to an important place in music history. The story of his triumphant life trumps the tragic stories of today. Her family asked us to continue Judas’ official induction into the Hall of Fame on Sunday. We will do this with a heavy heart and a heavy mind. The music of Naomi and her daughter Winona will live on.”

Others involved are Eddie Bayer, who has starred in many of Judges’ albums, including Ray Charles and Pete Drake.

The Public red carpet arrivals have been cancelled.

Naomi Judy died Saturday of “mental illness,” according to a statement released by Winona and her sister Ashley Judd to the Associated Press. The judges were also planning a new fall tour, their first appearance in over a decade.

On Sunday they will be honored as the most successful female duo in country music. They won five Grammy Awards and first place number 14. advertising panelHot Country Songs chart, including “Mama, He’s Crazy”, “Why Not Me” and “Girls Night Out”.

The duo stopped touring in 1991 after Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis C. She has also spoken over the years about bouts of depression.
