Yoga Seal: An easy flexibility exercise that “rejuvenates” your back muscles

The youthfulness of our body depends on the flexibility of the spine. Try to stretch the muscles in this area more often – for example, do this pleasant asana for a comfortable back stretch.

The main error of preservation of youth that many women make is the lack of work on the flexibility of the body. Yes, dieting and exercising will make you slim and fit. But it is the soft, elastic ligaments of the body that will make the movements vigorous, the posture proud, and the whole look fresher and more youthful in appearance.

First of all, attention should be paid to the development of back flexibility. You can start with a classic yoga asana called “Simple Seal”. It actively stretches the spine and widens the chest, reducing the arched appearance.

How to do the “simple yogic seal”

  • Sit on the floor and cross your legs “Turkish”
  • Join your hands in the castle and raise them above your head, stretching your back
  • With an exhale, gently lower your joined hands to the floor. Being inclined, stretch forward – both with your hands, with your back and with your head
  • Try to make the slope deeper. When you have found the optimal position in which you feel a pleasant stretch of the back muscles (but no pain!), stay in the position for 30 to 60 seconds. Breathe slowly – and if possible try to move forward a little

After performing the asana, gently raise your arms and back and sit in a neutral position. You will definitely feel a change in your well-being – and you will probably want to repeat the exercise again 😉
