There are moments you never forget. And there are songs that remain in the memory. “It’s You (Mom)”, for example, is one of them. And that’s the theme Charles Rivera which he wrote when he was 16 and has just been released.
“I had no money to buy a present for my mother so it occurred to me to write a song and the best place to sing it to her was on Mother’s Day, she was a teacher and could not regularly come to see me because her school holidays coincided, but this time I asked her to do everything to surprise her”, recalled the singer Mexican.
And he added: “From that day until now I sing it to her, if I’m not with her I do it on the phone. After 20 years I was finally able to record it, even if now it’s not just for my mother but for all mothers”.
The theme was also chosen by Coppel for the Surprise Mom campaign to precisely celebrate Mother’s Day.
