Oscar-winning actor Troy Kotsur has signed a contract with Verve.
Kotsur made history as the first deaf actor to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in Best Picture for Sean Header. CODA, in which he played fisherman and father Frank Ross. Kotsuri received the Oscar at the end of the Whirlpool Awards, during which he won Best Supporting Actor at the Gotham, Independent Spirit, Critics Choice, BAFTA, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Kotsuri is a longtime actor at the Deaf West Theater, a Los Angeles-based performance organization that produces theater inspired by Deaf culture.
