Zara owner Industria de Diseno Textil, also known as Inditex Group, has registered the trademark ZA in Russia, state news agency RIA Novosti reported. Russian patent agency Rospatent approved the registration for the Spanish brand.

Under the ZA name, the company will be allowed to sell toilet water, cosmetics, optics, smartphones, cameras, and filmmaking equipment in Russia. Patent documents list Industria de Diseno Textil as the rights holder and show a logo featuring black letters ZA on a dusty pink background.
Inditex store closures in Russia
Plans for Zara to register a trademark in Russia first emerged in September 2025. At that time, application documents showed the brand logo on a blue background.
Spanish retail company Inditex, which includes mass market brands Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Oysho, and Massimo Dutti, closed its stores and suspended online sales in Russia on March 5, 2022, following events in Ukraine. The group previously operated 502 stores across the country.
