Zendaya stepped out at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 presentation in Paris wearing an ivory lace bolero she previously wore, paired with casual blue jeans.
The American actress and her long-time stylist, Law Roach, repurposed the high-fashion garment just three months after its red-carpet debut, transforming the haute couture piece into a relaxed street-style look.

For her appearance at Paris Fashion Week, Zendaya wore a simple white ribbed tank top with straps, blue wide-leg jeans, and crisp white stilettos. Over this understated foundation, she layered the statement ivory lace bolero, which features oversized ruffles and a dramatic, high-volume collar designed to frame the face.
A High Fashion Repeat
Paris Fashion Week is one of the premier events on the international fashion calendar, attracting leading luxury houses, designers, and international celebrities to the French capital each season. Louis Vuitton, founded in 1854 as a trunk maker, remains one of the flagship labels showing during the week.

The ivory bolero made its initial appearance in July during Paris promotion for Christopher Nolan's film, in which Zendaya portrays the goddess Athena. On that occasion, the piece was styled for a formal premiere setting.
During its July premiere outing, the bolero was paired with a matching lingerie-inspired floral lace dress. That full-length ensemble featured a cutout section across the abdomen and a long trailing train, creating a traditional red-carpet silhouette.

Nolan is an acclaimed film director known for large-scale cinematic productions, whose film premieres routinely draw global media attention and high-profile red carpet appearances from lead cast members.
Law Roach explained that the decision to rescue the bolero was intended to move it away from its initial formal red-carpet context into a more relaxed yet striking presentation.

Craftsmanship and Inspiration
The statement bolero is an exclusive custom creation by designer Nicolas Ghesquière, created specifically for Zendaya. Crafting the intricate garment required 360 hours of dedicated artisan work.
Ghesquière drew inspiration for the piece from his own archival work, referencing the Spring/Summer 2006 collection he designed for Balenciaga two decades earlier.
Ghesquière served as creative director at Balenciaga for 15 years before taking over as artistic director of women's collections at Louis Vuitton in 2013. Balenciaga, founded in Spain in 1919 by Cristóbal Balenciaga, is celebrated for innovative structural shapes, a legacy Ghesquière frequently explored during his tenure there.
Sustainable Wardrobe Choices
Revisiting items from her personal fashion archive is an established practice for Zendaya and Law Roach. Earlier this year, while promoting her film project titled The Drama, the actress wore a white Vivienne Westwood gown that she had originally worn to the 2015 Academy Awards.
Vivienne Westwood was an influential British fashion designer famous for pioneering punk fashion and theatrical couture silhouettes. The Academy Awards, held annually in Los Angeles, represent one of the highest-profile red carpet events in the entertainment industry.
While Zendaya waited 11 years to bring back her 2015 Oscars gown, she allowed only three months to elapse before re-introducing her custom Louis Vuitton lace bolero. By shifting the styling from a formal evening gown to wide-leg denim, the actress demonstrated how a major couture piece can be given a completely new appearance without debuting a new garment.
