"Alien: Earth," the science fiction and horror series created by Noah Hawley, has released its first official look at season two, confirming the show is now in production and revealing that key cast members will return.
The footage, posted by 20th Century Studios Canada on its official X account on September 3, 2026, carries the caption "SEASON [2] in production. // FX's Alien: Earth." It offers the first solid details fans have had since the season was announced, after weeks in which the studio and cast had revealed almost nothing about the new episodes.
First look at the set
In the clip, actor Babou Ceesay appears holding a clapperboard to announce that the new batch of episodes is officially in production. Actress Sydney Chandler is also shown standing near the cameras on set.
The footage also gives viewers their first glimpse of the practical model built for the xenomorph, the franchise's signature creature, for the new season.
Wendy and Kumi Morrow confirmed to return
The video confirmed that Wendy and Kumi Morrow will return for season two, a move that had already been widely expected based on recent interviews and how the first season ended. Season one closed with Wendy and the other hybrids appearing to seize control of the Prodigy Corporation after capturing its main enemies. The threat from the rival Weyland-Yutani corporation, however, remains large.

"Alien: Earth" is a science fiction and horror series set within the Alien universe originally created by director Ridley Scott. The show is produced for FX and made available to viewers on Disney+. Noah Hawley, the series creator, is also known for creating the television series "Fargo" and "Legion."
