Singer Anna Sedokova has responded to social media comments labeling her a black widow after the deaths of two of her former husbands. The artist published her response on Instagram, which is owned by Meta, after highlighting a user comment that criticized her personal life.
Sedokova recalled that her first marriage to footballer Valentin Belkevich ended 20 years ago when she was 21 years old because of his constant infidelity. She explained that she left with nothing alongside her one year old child, while Belkevich returned to the woman with whom he had cheated.
Addressing the tragedy involving Belkevich that occurred 10 years after their breakup, Sedokova questioned why she was being blamed for his death. She stated that she held no responsibility for the event and added that he had never loved her.
Former Marriages and Abuse Allegations
Sedokova also urged commentators not to discuss the passing of her former husband, basketball player Janis Timma, calling his death a tragedy and an unhealing wound. She clarified that two of her other former partners are living happy lives and are wonderful people.
The singer previously spoke about suffering physical violence from Timma, stating that her ex-spouse had problems with aggression. She stated that he severely beat her on Valentine Day, forcing her to hide bruises on her face from her children the following morning.
