One product, many functions: how to buy and use cosmetics wisely

Cosmetics, like beauty, doesn’t happen much. This is how every girl and woman sincerely thinks. After all, beauty shopping is one of the most enjoyable activities for us. But sometimes it is useful to know what a base set is. Additionally, many beauty products are multifunctional or interchangeable.

It’s impossible to buy products of all shades and brands, so it’s important to be able to mix and match them.

  • Well-known sponges can be completely replaced with ordinary triangular sponges, carefully cutting out a rounded shape that suits you.
  • When buying a face cream, pay attention to those that also serve as a base for makeup. You will not need an additional jar, and the makeup process will noticeably speed up.
  • When it comes to makeup brushes, don’t buy an expensive set, just the brushes you really need. It is especially not necessary to save on brushes for blush and powder (although the latter can be replaced by a fluffy cotton ball, which is suitable for loose powder).
  • Did you know that you can make your own concealer? To do this, you will need foundation (not oil-based). Put a small amount in a handy container and let it dry for a few days. You will get a concentrated and thick pigment that will cope with the functions of the concealer, but you will not be able to keep it for more than three months.
  • Instead of an expensive lip liner, it is better to buy a cheap one – most of them come off the assembly line from the same factory and differ little in quality.
  • To enhance the effect of an inexpensive shampoo, you can try adding a few drops of olive oil to it.
  • A good conditioner or hair balm can be used as a mask. Just apply it, wrap your hair in a film, wrap it in a towel and hold for about half an hour – silky soft hair is provided! And an alternative to salon care is burdock or olive oil + plastic wrap + terry towel.
  • Have you ever tried a powder cleanser? This tool can replace not only foam, but also scrub several times a week.
  • Pharmacy clay is ideal for cleansing the skin.
  • Ombre effect lipstick may be curious, but it’s actually pampering. You can easily create an ombre effect yourself by playing with the contrast of light and dark shades.
