Why You Shouldn’t Fight For Global Beauty Standards: Golden Words From Sharon Stone, Who Accepted Her Imperfection

For decades, Sharon Stone has been one of the most desirable women in the world. Today, the movie star is almost 65 years old. She calmly accepts her age-related changes, but remains a beauty icon — and here’s why.

Marilyn Monroe is considered the main blonde of the “golden age” of Hollywood. But Sharon Stone won the title of the main blonde of the blockbuster era: not a single great film of the 1980s-1990s could not do without her participation.

In recent years, the movie star appears on the screen only in episodic roles. This is partly due to her age – in 2023 Sharon will be 65 years old. There are not so many age roles in Hollywood – therefore most actresses try to claim the roles of heroines much younger than themselves.

Sharon Stone opposes plastic surgery and believes women shouldn’t put their lives on the altar in the eternal pursuit of youth.

“I don’t want to hide my age. I just want to be a woman who looks as good as possible for her age.”said the actress.

Even more Sharon Stone doesn’t understand the universal adherence to beauty standards that has become so common in the age of social media.

“In the United States, there are 400,000 dyed blondes with the same nose, the same giant lips, contoured cheeks and snow-white teeth. Does anyone find them attractive? – once said the star.

Indeed, today it is difficult to find a woman who would not dream of changing her appearance precisely according to these parameters – believing that this is what will make her look better. However, blindly following trends erases individuality. Moreover, it rarely helps to become happier. Much more often, women continue to look for flaws in themselves – and constantly change, because beauty trends do not stand still.

“Ava Gardner (famous actress of the first half of the 20th century – editor’s note) was the most beautiful woman in the world. For what? She never did anything. She looked like a woman and never tried to look like a woman.”– Sharon Stone argues her opinion against anti-aging procedures.
