Why wash your hair with mineral water: a summer tip that will replace expensive care

In everyday life, carbonated mineral water is best used internally to take advantage of its refreshing effect. But if you’re going on vacation in the near future, take note of this beach life hack.

Sometimes it’s so hot outside that you want to empty a bottle of mineral water all at once. And if there is such an opportunity, also pour water over yourself to instantly refresh yourself.

Indeed, sparkling mineral water is no less effective a beauty product than cosmetic thermal water. But experts advise not to use it as a refreshing spray, but rather as an exfoliating shampoo or cleanser with a mild effect.

Unlike ordinary tap water, mineral water is enriched with carbon dioxide, which is responsible for the presence of bubbles in it. Carbon dioxide has an excellent cleansing property – which is especially necessary for hair after swimming in a pool or in sea water.

To remove leftover bleach or sea salt, simply rinse your hair with the contents of a large bottle of sparkling water. Then you can immediately use a repair balm: wash your hair with shampoo, for example, every other day.

By the way, carbonic acid is sometimes added to shampoo compositions – just to achieve an additional cleansing effect. Carbon dioxide helps improve hair growth and reduces sebum production, which also prolongs the feeling of cleanliness.
