10 foods that make your skin more sensitive to the sun – don’t eat them before the beach

Some products contain substances that can increase the process of photosensitivity, that is, increase the skin’s response to exposure to ultraviolet rays. If you tend to develop allergies or increased skin sensitivity, you should know what is included in the list of these products. And try to avoid them before going out for a long time.

Photosensitivity of the skin increases due to exfoliation procedures, cosmetics containing retinol and acids, as well as ignoring sunscreen. Affects the photosensitivity of the skin and the presence in the diet of certain fruits, vegetables and animal products. Usually such products are included in the list of the most useful for the body. But alas, in summer they can cause redness of the skin in the sun.

Foods that increase photosensitivity include fruits and vegetables high in furanocoumarins and related substances. One such component is found in the infamous Caucasus grass, which causes sunburn when touched. At the same time, furanocoumarins are found in the following foods:
