The golden hour skin is a cool beauty feature that all professional photographers know. In order for the skin in the pictures to turn out to be exceptionally beautiful and as if radiant from the inside, you should shoot only at certain times when the light is scattered very softly. This time of day shortly after sunrise or before sunset is called golden hour.

We’re done with the great social media snaps, but how do you make that golden hour filter wearable on your face and in real life, all day? Calm down, the makeup artists have already thought of everything for us. Now all that remains is to master this make-up technique and apply it correctly!

To achieve the effect of tanned skin, you need a warm-toned highlighter and a good brush to define the cheekbones. If using a liquid highlighter, apply a few drops directly along the cheekbone. Then, with a brush, carefully blend the product downwards, then with the remaining highlighter on the brush pile, sweep the notch between the temple and the cheekbone.

You can also achieve golden skin with a dry highlighter. First, draw the product well on the brush, then apply it to the skin using the technique that we have already described above. Some accents can also be placed along the back of the nose: this way you will delicately emphasize this area and give the face a rested appearance.
