Dangerous for the skin: this popular cosmetic product should not be used in summer

Surely you know that in the hot season it is dangerous to use acids and retinol. But some delicate products can be just as insidious!

Dangerous for the skin: this popular cosmetic product should not be used in summer

The summer sun is the enemy of the active use of cosmetics. Treatments with powerful active ingredients make the skin more sensitive. And the sun’s rays, in turn, destroy the processes of regeneration – which increases the risk of premature aging, inflammation and hyperpigmentation.

To protect your face from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, in the summer it is recommended to use products with an SPF factor, as well as soothing products. And everyone’s favorite thermal water does not belong to this category. It does not soothe the skin – on the contrary, it makes it more vulnerable.

Admittedly, we too had a hard time believing it! However, dermatologists have long doubted the healing properties of thermal water – including enriched with various vitamins and minerals.

The fact is that thermal water, like any other liquid, quickly evaporates from the surface of the skin. And after that it sucks in moisture – and causes dehydration.

Of course, such a scenario is to be feared if you like to refresh yourself with thermal water during the day – and quite often. But if you introduce the product in the basic care – for example, instead of a tonic – and “close” it with a serum or moisturizer, only the result of the toning will be on your face. It is therefore better to overcome the temptation to constantly “guzzle” with water during long walks. It is better to take a fan with you – it will not affect the quality of the skin or the durability of the makeup.
