The second season of the anime series Black Clover will premiere on October 3 on the streaming service Crunchyroll.
The upcoming season will feature 26 episodes split into two distinct broadcast parts. The first 13 episodes are scheduled to air before the end of the year, while the remaining 13 episodes will arrive in 2027.
Season 2 release schedule
Following the October 3 premiere, the first half of the season will release new episodes on a weekly basis throughout October, November, and December. Episode two will air on October 10, followed by episode three on October 17, episode four on October 24, and episode five on October 31.
The weekly release schedule continues into November with episode six on November 7, episode seven on November 14, episode eight on November 21, and episode nine on November 28. The final four episodes of the first half will broadcast on December 5, December 12, December 19, and December 26.
Story background and characters
Black Clover is a Japanese fantasy anime series based on the manga created by Yuki Tabata. The story follows two orphans, Asta and Yuno, who were left abandoned as infants outside a church in a rural village.
The boys grew up together in the village, but their abilities developed very differently. Yuno demonstrated a natural talent for magic, whereas Asta was born without any magical powers whatsoever.
Their journey takes a turn when both boys obtain their own spellbooks. Possessing their new spellbooks, Asta and Yuno begin competing against each other to achieve their shared dream of becoming the Wizard King.
Second half arriving in 2027
Subscribers to Crunchyroll will be able to watch the first part of the season through December 26. The streaming service will then host episodes 14 through 26 when the second half launches in 2027.
