Pregnant Brazilian influencer Bruna Biancardi has started preparing the layette for her daughter Mariah at an affordable clothing store in Paris, France.
The 32-year-old social media personality, who is expecting her third child with Brazilian football star Neymar, took advantage of her trip to Paris Fashion Week to buy the first garments for the infant.
Despite being in one of the world's most famous fashion capitals, Biancardi chose a budget-friendly retail chain to buy items for her baby's first few months. The pieces she displayed to her online followers included multi-packs of bodysuits, socks, and other everyday infant clothes.
Budget baby clothes in Paris
In a video published on her Instagram stories, Biancardi documented the shop she visited and explained her decision to economise on newborn clothing.
She told followers that the shop was their third stop of the day, explaining that while she did not know how to pronounce the French brand name, it was written as KIAB. She described the store as very nice and very cheap, saying it was ideal for the first clothes babies use because they have no reason to be expensive.
Biancardi then displayed specific items on camera to illustrate the low prices. She pointed out inexpensive packs of bodysuits and highlighted two pairs of baby socks priced at 4 euros, equivalent to about 24 Brazilian reais. Showing another selection of baby garments, she revealed that the entire bundle cost 14 euros, or approximately 82 reais, calling the deal very good.
French fashion and family traditions
Biancardi visited the French capital during Paris Fashion Week, a major semi-annual fixture on the global fashion calendar that draws top designers, models, and celebrities to preview luxury runway collections. Paris has long been celebrated as the centre of international haute couture, making Biancardi's choice of a discount high street outlet a noticeable departure from high-end fashion.
In Brazilian culture, preparing the enxoval is the traditional practice where expectant parents assemble the full wardrobe, bedding, and essential nursery supplies for a newborn. To gather these early essentials, Biancardi visited Kiabi, an established French ready-to-wear retail chain that operates across Europe, specialising in affordable family clothing, maternity wear, and low-cost baby collections.
Neymar and their growing family
Mariah will be the third daughter for Biancardi and Neymar, who is 34. The couple are already parents to two young daughters together, two-year-old Mavie and one-year-old Mel.
Neymar, who is one of Brazil's most celebrated footballers after high-profile spells with European clubs Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, also has two children from previous relationships. The Brazilian forward is father to 15-year-old Davi Lucca, from his past relationship with Carol Dantas, and two-year-old Helena, whose mother is Amanda Kimberlly.
