Colombian singer Camilo has shared a first preview of his upcoming album, Para Cuando Sean Mayores, which is scheduled for release on September 9.

The musician published a video clip on social media previewing a new track titled El Árbol, giving listeners an initial glimpse into both the sound and aesthetic of his upcoming project.

In the clip, the artist is seen playing, laughing, and spending time with his two young daughters, Índigo and Amaranto. He accompanied the post with a message reflecting on missing out on the present while focusing on future plans.

The previewed lyrics touch on themes of memory, regret, and the passage of time, with Camilo singing that if he had known, he would have embraced the moment rather than waiting for it to become a memory to long for later, adding that running makes no sense.

In the post caption, the singer added that he lost himself in what he was doing while thinking about what he would do next, leaving fans to wonder whether the statement represents a key lyric or the central concept behind the album.

The song preview follows an earlier announcement video in which Camilo revealed the album title after two years of anticipation. That video opened with a puppet show performed for his daughters, accompanied by a poem reflecting on his childhood.

In the poem, Camilo wondered where his toy cars had gone and how he had lost them, asking how he exchanged his inner substance for stage tickets and calling himself both a victim and culprit in losing his youth. He reassured his daughters that this was not their story, promising to guard their home so nothing steals their joy, and adding that his flying stories would wait for them until they grow older, before closing the clip with a clapperboard.

Album dedicated to his daughters

The upcoming record is designed as a personal gift for his daughters to listen to when they are older. Camilo has frequently spoken about his deep affection for his children, his personal growth as a father, and how he and his wife share parenting duties.

Camilo married Venezuelan artist Evaluna Montaner in February 2020. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Índigo, in April 2022 following a natural home birth in a birthing pool set up in their living room. Índigo is now four years old.

Their second daughter, Amaranto, was born in August 2024, also through a natural home birth.

Parenting approach and touring life

Camilo has publicly rejected the idea of husbands merely helping their wives at home, emphasizing that domestic duties and parental responsibilities belong equally to both partners as a team.

Parenthood has also reshaped the musician's professional life, with the entire family traveling together during international concert tours. The singer noted in previous interviews that the arrival of his daughters required him to build a far more structured schedule tailored around family needs.
