Not at all like nanny Vika: what Anastasia Zavorotnyuk looked like in her first film

Anastasia Zavorotnyuk became famous for her role in the sitcom My Fair Nanny, where she played the loud and broken Vika Prutkovskaya. The image stuck to the actress, but in her debut film she looked completely different: gentle, romantic – nothing to do with the future star role.

The first film with the participation of Zavorotnyuk was released in 1991 – 13 years before the premiere of “My Fair Nanny”. Then Anastasia studied at the Moscow Art Theater School, which she entered after dropping out of the history department of the Pedagogical Institute of her native Astrakhan.

It was a film adaptation of the novel “Mashenka” by Vladimir Nabokov about the fate of Russian emigrants, and Tamara Pavlyuchenko was the director of the tape. The budding actress immediately got the lead role. Even then, critics noted Zavorotnyuk’s charisma and talent. It was impossible to take your eyes off Anastasia on the screen – she was the personification of youthful charm, purity, fragile insecurity.
