MC Pipokinha has canceled a number of shows after talks about teachers’ salaries

MC Pipokinha canceled a show at Espírito Santo after being embroiled in another controversy. This time, the funk spoke about teachers’ salaries and sparked revolt on social networks.

The show would take place in Cariacica, in Grande Vitória, and was scheduled for Sunday 12. It was the artist’s fourth performance canceled after the speech.

The event will mark the inauguration of the Aldeia Club concert hall. In a statement, the organizers of the event said they did not agree with the singer’s vision.

“In the light of the news published in recent days, we have come to clarify that we do not condone any of these events and inform all consumers who have purchased tickets that the return will be made through the Onticket.com.br website,” said the organization.

Other cancellations

He was due to perform at a festival in Natal on August 5, but the organizers of the event said they were not “budging and funding people who use characters to push the limits of common sense” and canceled the show.

In Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, another show canceled: “The behavior and speeches of the singer, shown in recent weeks, do not correspond to the policies of the house”, informed the place where the MC would perform.

In the Federal District, a nightclub canceled Pipokinha’s performance claiming it was “out of respect for the audience”. “We have been following the situations surrounding the aforementioned situation in recent days, and we clarify that we do not agree with anything that has been communicated,” she said in a statement.
