The gum chewed by Robert Downey Jr is sold for R$ 210,000

The item was worn by the actor when his ‘Iron Man’ co-star Jon Favreau won a star on the Walk of Fame

One eraser disguised as Robert Downey Jr was offered for sale on eBay for “only” C$55,000 (Canadian dollars), equaling just over R$210,000. According to the website, a virtual auction will be open until next Friday, the 31st.

According to the seller, the object is the same one that was consumed by the actor on February 13 during a ceremony on the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, United States.

On the occasion, Downey Jr went to honor his colleague Jon Favreau, who played Happy Hogan in the Iron Man movies and earned a famous sidewalk star. The actor chewed the gum and then placed it on top of his friend’s tribute, joking that he was “just to make it official.”

In the product description, the seller claims that he was present at the time and picked up the chilett from the floor after it was left there. “I’m selling it in the same condition I received it and it can be tested for its DNA. It will be shipped tracked and contained in a plastic container,” he says.

The only information available about the seller’s identity, other than the username “jvanilla-59?”, is that he lives in Canada and registered on eBay in 2020.
