Louis Vuitton announces Zendaya as new ambassador

Luxury brand Louis Vuitton announced actress Zendaya (“Euphoria”) as its new ambassador on Thursday (April 20). The first campaign has already been publicized on social media, with the actress becoming the face of the iconic Capucines bags.

Launched a decade ago, the Capucines bags take their name from the street in Paris where the first Louis Vuitton store opened in 1854. Since then, they’ve become a staple for the brand.

“The bag is very well made and durable,” Zendaya commented in an interview with Vogue magazine. “If I have to buy something, I want it to last a long time”

Some fans already suspected that Zendaya could be tapped to star in Louis Vuitton campaigns. In March, the actress was in Paris, in the front row at the fashion show of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 collections.

Zendaya won a Golden Globe and two Emmys for her role as Rue in HBO’s ‘Euphoria’. The actress will later be present in the film “Challengers”, directed by Luca Guadagnino (“Call me by your name”).
