The new list of Forbes magazine “30 under 30”, which includes young and promising representatives of various fields – from art to business, includes 22-year-old rapper Asya Alizade. We’ve heard little about her so far, but it sure looks like we’ll be more – it’s time to get to know her better.

Asya Alizade was born in Azerbaijan, but at the age of 11 she moved with her parents to Moscow, where she grew up. At school, her vocal abilities were noted, the girl began to study music. Asya started performing regularly at school concerts, which eventually helped her adapt and deal with the stiffness.

As a teenager, the girl became interested in rapping and began to experiment with her own creativity – she recorded songs and posted them on VKontakte. According to her confession, she loved hip-hop, because there are no restrictions in this genre. Asya’s hobby was initially rejected by her parents, but in the end all conflicts were settled when they realized that it was a serious hobby that could pay off. the money. Asya’s tracks, meanwhile, started winning auditions, and as a result, a record company brought her attention.

After school, Asya entered Moscow State University, where she was also actively involved in the creative life of the university and received many different certificates for her performances.

Breakthrough

A wide audience first heard about Alizade (Asya performs under this name) in 2018, thanks to her collaboration with rapper Big Baby Tape (real name Yegor Rakitin). Asya was friends with the performer, and he invited her to record a joint song – the track Gucci quickly became popular on social networks. After that, Asya released her own solo singles August, Karma and Make UP.

Depression

In 2019, Asya briefly disappeared from the music world. The girl faced depression. The rap artist admitted that at first she didn’t even understand what was happening to her, as she was still very cheerful. At first, Alizade came into herself, but then she started looking for a way out of the situation.

“Then I just realized that the solution is self-development, doing what you love and communicating with the right people. In general, I think communication is the best way to psychotherapy,” Asya said at that time.

In 2022, Alizade decides to settle in Turkey and conquer the local show business. Thus, the performer broke into the genre of Turkish rap. According to Asya, the language was easy for her, because Azerbaijani is similar to Turkish, and besides, she watched a lot of Turkish TV shows in her childhood.

Another collaboration helped Asya get promoted in the new market – this time with Turkish influencer and rapper Bege. Alizade’s style is distinguished by a blend of lyricism and boldness, oriental flavor and playful delivery. The girl has many fans, but also enough haters who criticize her for being too frivolous.

Today, Alizade is nicknamed the “Turkish Cardi B”. The comparison does not offend Asya – she herself listened to Cardi B with pleasure, and then Megan Thee Stallion became her favorite.

In Turkey, Asya has really “turned”: the video for the song Abnormal has garnered millions of views, and on Spotify, Alizade has even surpassed Morgenstern*.

But if Asya’s professional achievements are clearly visible, then she does not very willingly talk about her personal life, only noting that she does not yet have a stamp in her passport.
