Singer speaks of religious intolerance towards African-based religions and women’s rights.
On Friday 12, the singer Jojo Toddynho held a live on Instagram, presenting a group seminar on the theme of anthropology, at a high school in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The theme dealt with was religious intolerance towards African religions. He is in the first semester of law school.
In the presentation he reiterated some points on freedom for young people. “Our right to come and go is non-negotiable.” For example, Jojo cited her relationship with her grandmother and said that to this day it still makes her aware when she is disrespectful.
In the end, she answered some of the students’ questions and revealed that she dreamed of doing psychology but that she decided to do it well to fight for women. “Even if we are not a united class, I have this duty in society.” For the future, Jojo plans to pursue a master’s degree in psychology.
To demonstrate the concepts that frame religious intolerance as a criminal practice, the group formed by Jojo and 4 other college colleagues has created brochures on the subject. The material was distributed during the seminar.
