Actress Barbie Ferreira, known for her role in the series “Euphoria”, has collaborated with the Brazilian footwear brand Havaianas, signing a collection inspired by her Brazilian roots.
For the artist, the collaboration represents much more than just a fashion project. In a statement, she praised her connection to the brand and what she represents in her life. “Havaianas is an iconic brand that I have used since I was a little girl. It means a lot to me for my culture, my family and Brazil in general. To have the opportunity to create for a company that represents me and my family in a nostalgic way is incredibly exciting,” said the actress.
Born and raised in New York, she never let her family’s Brazilian roots get sidetracked. “I’m a first generation American, so my whole life has been filled with wonderful Brazilians, especially Brazilian women,” she told Marie Claire. Thanks to this you have come to the country several times, on vacation and also to do some work. “She is an important part of my soul,” she said of Brazil.

The actress can’t wait for everyone to see what has been created. Entitled Havaianas x Barbie, the collection takes a journey into the sophisticated aesthetics of the 70s, through a contemporary look.
In the creation, the actress was inspired by the vintage aesthetics of Rio de Janeiro in the 60s and 70s and the rich Brazilian architecture. With total freedom, she has developed exclusive prints for the flip flops and slides models.
There are, in all, six models of printed slippers and a slider version, available in three colours. The products are already available on the brand’s e-commerce site and in selected stores.
