She keeps the idol’s fashion archives in a special temperature-controlled room, like real museum exhibits. One of the singer’s first acquisitions was a collection of 55 items from Jackson in 2012. Thus, the jacket from the first Bad world tour and the white glove with Swarovski crystals worth hundreds of thousands of dollars belong to Gaga. According to her, a few years later, the personal collection already includes about 400 pieces of the singer. At that time, there were rumors that the singer planned to open a museum in his honor.

In 2011, the red and black jacket, known thanks to the Thriller clip, went under the hammer. It was there that in 1983 Michael Jackson recorded his video success, the production of which at that time became the most expensive in the history of music – half a million dollars. The jacket was designed for him by renowned Hollywood designer Deborah Nadulman-Landis. Texas dealer Milton Verret bought the iconic object at the auction, placing a final bid of $1.8 million.

So, in 2019, Kim Kardashian decided and gave her daughter North for Christmas the velvet jacket that Jackson wore to celebrate Elizabeth Taylor’s 65th birthday. The second giveaway was a felt hat from the “Smooth Criminal” music video. On it, as Kardashian noted on social media, traces of the King of Pop’s cosmetics were even preserved.

Decorated with crystals and covered with 24 carat gold, the salon amazed the public with its richness, literally reminiscent of the royal palace.

Exactly 40 years have passed since the beginnings and today the recognizable moonwalk. In 1983, Michael Jackson took the stage to the song “Billie Jean” in white socks encrusted with large crystals. A few years ago, at an auction that sold many of the singer’s items, a pair of socks from a cult show was valued at two million dollars.
