The Court closes the dispute and defines whether Amaury Nunes is the father of Karina Bacchi’s child

According to the portal Leo Diasthe judge Lea Maria Duarteby the Court of Justice of São Paulo, understood that Amaury Nunes cannot be considered the boy’s (social-affective) father, even after having held this role for almost five years, with the consent of Karina Bacchi during the period in which they were together .

The judge’s decision was based on the prosecution’s knowledge that 6-year-old Henry is still too young to fully understand the implications of acknowledging paternity, or even express a desire to have a father.

Judicial case on the recognition of paternity

It is worth mentioning that The Boy is the result of an independent production, directed by Karina Bacchi. Amaury began having a relationship with Karina during the baby’s pregnancy. The former couple began the process of making paternity official after marriage, but the action was then interrupted during the divorce proceedings. The decision of the Court of Justice of São Paulo is still subject to appeal.
