Another chapter in the separation of Joe Jonas AND Sophie Turner between us! According to information from Page Six, published this Thursday (21), the actress is suing her ex-husband for the return of her two daughters to England.

According to documents obtained by the site, the “Game of Thrones” star filed a lawsuit Thursday in a Manhattan, New York court, seeking “the immediate restitution of children wrongfully removed or retained.”

Turner also claims in the lawsuit that the “wrongful withholding” began on September 20. According to the British actress, she and the Jonas Brothers member agreed by Christmas 2022 that they would make their “forever home” in England and begin looking for schools for their eldest daughter, Willa.

“Both parties were enthusiastic about the family moving to England”, we read in the documents. The former couple have found the “perfect home” in the English countryside and have put their Miami property up for sale. They officially moved from the United States to England on April 10, 2023, where Turner began filming the miniseries “Joan” nearby. Jonas, however, started his tour with his brothers.

At the time, the 34-year-old singer and 27-year-old actress “hesitantly” agreed to their daughters traveling with their father, as he had more free time than their mother. “Kids could at least spend some time during the day with a parent until mom finishes her filming commitments.”the documents explain, underlining that the daughters’ trip would only be a “temporary arrangement”.

However, Joe decided to divorce Sophie “abruptly” after an argument on August 15, 2023. He officially filed for divorce on September 1, and Turner found out about the news “from the media” four days later.

Two weeks after the request, they met to discuss the separation, with Turner saying in the documents that they had “reaffirmed” their plan to move their daughters to England, however, things got complicated after Joe, who is with children in the United States, withhold girls’ passports.

“The father is in possession of the daughters’ passports”, the documents say. “He refuses to return the passports to their mother and refuses to send his daughters home to England with their mother.”

Joe and Sophie started dating in 2016 and got engaged the following year. They made their union official in 2019, during a ceremony in Las Vegas. Together they are parents of two girls, Willa3 years old, and the youngest, whose name was not revealed, 1 year old.
