Victim of racism, son of Martinho da Vila calls the police: ‘The racists will not pass’

Last Friday, Tunico da Vila, son of Martinho da Vila, declared that he had been the victim of racism by a seller from Vitória

Last Friday evening (20/10), Vila tunicthe son of Martinho da Vila, said he was the victim of racism from a salesman in Vitória. The samba singer informed that he has already contacted the Civil Police and that he will take the appropriate measures.

On Instagram he vented: “I just suffered racism here in Rua da Lama from an idiot who told me to go back to the favela. A racial insult. I’m walking my pig. [O agressor] he had already been rude to my wife and went to scold her. Then he said: ‘go back to the favela, that’s where you belong’ and what’s worse is that he’s dark.“.

And he continued: “I have videos and witnesses, but only at the police station. If you experience racism, no matter how much you feel like it, don’t attack it. Call the Military Police so they can do their part. That’s because we walked with Soba [porco de estimação]. Racism is a no-bail crime and racial slurs are problematic. The racists will not pass”.

“I am grateful for the understanding of the police officers who helped me and now I have to take care of myself, but tomorrow I will be at the Civil Police. Racism is a crime. I walk with my orixá guides because it does not embarrass me. How if the Favela was just a place for drug dealers or militiamen. As if good people didn’t live in the favela! Being a resident of a favela is shameful! I go to any favela in any favela because in there in the favelas I have learned and continue to learn what it is poetry”he concluded.
