The boyfriend of the influencer killed during liposuction throws ashes in the convent: ‘I will carry you forever’

The businessman João Hadad, boyfriend of Luana Andrade, who died in November 2023 following complications due to liposuction, paid tribute to the influencer by throwing his ashes in a convent. On Thursday the 11th he published a video on his Instagram profile sharing the moment with his followers.

“You are our light, princess. Thank you for allowing me to experience the most beautiful, light, sincere and mutual love. Thank you again for everything, I have no words. I will carry you with me forever. Every little place you loved, you I’ll take it, I’ll take it, man!” she wrote herself. The ashes were thrown from the top of the Penha Convent, in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo.

Remember the case

Luana Andradeinfluencer, SBT stage assistant and former participant of Power couple in Brazilreality show from Record TV, died on November 7, 2023, at the age of 29, following complications from liposuction. He performed the operation at the São Luiz Hospital, in the Itaim unit, in São Paulo.

In a note sent to Estadao, the hospital said the cause of death was a massive pulmonary embolism. The influencer suffered a sudden respiratory event followed by cardiac arrest two and a half hours after the surgery. She was resuscitated by staff.

“The surgery was interrupted and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to intensive care where she underwent drugs and hemodynamic treatments. Despite all the efforts of the hospital team, her progress were unfavorable.”
