Of the 15 years of the blockade Academics of Lower Augusta, which parades along the traditional Rua Augusta, in the center of Sao Paulo, Alessandra Negrini has been queen of the group for over 10 years. “It grew, I couldn’t stay there anymore, because it’s too small, cramped. […] It’s crazy, right? It’s become a very big thing, it’s become an important thing for the city’s calendar, for Carnival,” he celebrates.

And the actress knows what she’s talking about. Street partygoer, she says she to the Earth who counts the days until the party arrives, especially for what he calls “the explosion of beauty” that is Brazilian culture.

“I love carnival, the power of music, the people, the costumes, the humor, the criticism, the joy, the explosion of beauty that is our culture! “That crowd… to meet those people… We go out secretly, because we can’t get into the car. We put on some clothes, a hat, some glasses and run away. We go in a group”, he admits.
