The famous ‘Renascer’ actor talks about his bisexuality

Last Tuesday (23/01), the actor Rodrigo Simas was a guest of “In the pool with Fê Paes Leme“. He brings José Venâncio to life in Globo’s new nine o’clock telenovela, a remake of “Born again”.

In the plot he is married to Eliana, played by Sofia Carlottaand falls in love with Buba, in the skin of Gabriela Medeiros, a trans woman. During the interview with Paes Leme, she talked about how she discovered she was bisexual.

“It took me a while to realize that I was bisexual because I didn’t know that it was okay to be. It’s not a defensive thing, you know? That it’s a sexual orientation and that’s okay.”he revealed.

And he explained: “It was a process for me too… It was something I had, ten years ago, for example, like ‘I’m gay’. Oh, no, I’m straight. Oh, I can’t be because of my profession no. I’ll have more paper…’ I’m talking about 10, 12 years ago”.

He also talked about how he started having an affair with his wife, Agatha Moreira: “In 2018 we were on a period soap together, and we had a lot of fun, both single, and then we started enjoying life, being partners… Suddenly. But it took us a while to admit that we were in love with each other.”he revealed.
