Actor Chris Gauthier has died at the age of 48. The information was confirmed by the artist’s family to the North American site TMZ last Friday, the 24th.

According to the publication, Gauthier’s family reported that he was ill. However, the cause of death was not revealed.

On social media, colleagues mourned the actor’s death. “Rest in peace, Chris! I’m heartbroken! My love and thoughts go out to Erin and the boys! We’ll miss you, brother! You were the real Captain [Gancho]”said actor Colin O’Donoghue.

Chad Colvin wrote, “Gauthier was the very definition of a character actor and not an actor with a name anyone might know, but one whose mere presence could pique anyone’s interest.”

Gauthier has starred in series such as Smallville AND Supernatural. Among his most famous characters is chef Vincent from the series Eureka and Mr. Smee, Captain Hook’s first mate It was once. Gauthier leaves behind his wife Erin and two children.
