“I didn’t want to believe it,” Pedro Manso says of the dementia diagnosis

In a publication made this Monday 26th, the comedian Pedro Manso revealed that he had been diagnosed with dementia. “Unfortunately, the news that I have to share with you, my friends and my fans, is not good at all. I’m going through a very serious dementia problem, very serious forgetfulness,” he said.

“I decided to convey it to you and I came to this conclusion. I didn’t want to believe it, but unfortunately I have to accept it and ask God to give me a cure, to protect me and to alert many who may be going through the same problem,” he said on video.

The comedian also regretted having forgotten an interview: “Today, the comedian’s day, I had an interview scheduled for 8 in the morning on the ‘Antônio Carlos Show’, on Rádio Tupi and, unfortunately, I didn’t remember of nothing, only after waking up and seeing the various messages. A thousand apologies to my old and dear friend Antônio Carlos, to whom I am very grateful for my career. But it wasn’t out of malice, friend. I must admit that I am sick, with this problem of dementia, forgetfulness,” he said .

In the comments to the publication, Manso’s fans showed their support for the artist. “You are bigger than all this. God is with you and the Brazilian people need your joy,” writes one follower. “God will restore your health, brother,” said another.
