Luiza Ambiel undergoes emergency surgery

Luiza Ambiel was rushed to Santa Paula Hospital, in Sao Paulo, to undergo emergency surgery. The information was confirmed by the actress’ team when Earth this Friday the 15th.

The former participant of the reality show The farmfrom Record TV, underwent the surgery after her left breast’s silicone implant ruptured this week.

“I was in a lot of pain. My left breast became hard, hot and swollen. I quickly took antibiotics and had to go to the operating table,” Luiza said in a statement.

An ultrasound examination was carried out in the hospital which highlighted the rupture of the prosthesis. Luiza was also diagnosed with a urinary infection, which delayed surgery for a few days.

The journalist has decided to keep the 335 ml of silicone present in her breast implants and will remain hospitalized for the post-operative period and for the removal of the drainage. She was operated on by Dr. Ana Helena Patrus and Dr. Leonard Bannet.

The model, whose discharge is not yet expected, cannot say what caused the prosthesis to break, but there should be no major consequences.
