Ana Maria Braga shared details of her difficulty quitting her addiction to cigarettes and coffee, even after being diagnosed with cancer, during an interview on the program Conversation with Bial aired Monday evening, 29th.

The presenter revealed she was unable to quit smoking after being diagnosed with lung cancer and faced further circulation problems which led to her having three stents installed in her legs. “I had blocked veins. All because of cigarettes,” said Ana Maria Braga. After complications with one of the stents, she decided to stop permanently and replaced coffee with water.

“After the stent got stuck, I came out of surgery and said never again. I stopped drinking coffee, which I love, but coffee was my start. I drank coffee and I needed to smoke. And to smoke I needed coffee. I switched to water. Today I drink a lot of water”, explained the presenter.

Ana Maria also commented on her work routine in the program More youexplaining his early arrival at the Globe and his active participation in the daily production of the program. The presenter highlighted the challenges and unexpected events of the live broadcast, admitting that mistakes happen.
