Rodolfo Abrantes and his wife, Alexandra Abrantes, reported the abuse they suffered while attending a church in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, 13 years ago. The former Raimundos singer shared his outburst on Instagram this Wednesday the 22nd, stating that he still carries “traumas that take too long to heal and still hurt”.

The case came to light after former members of the Bola de Neve church accused the pastors of diverting tithes and offerings for their own benefit. Alexandra, with more than 1 million followers, used her platform to express her outrage at the old church, where she attended from 2004 to 2011.

Emotional wounds

“Shame on this snowball. I wish I could mention the ‘@’, but I’m blocked. Maybe I’m blocked from exposing (even more) the abuse and manipulation I suffered when I was a ‘member,'” Alexandra wrote in a comment on social networks. “If there is one thing I regret in this life, it is being ‘part’ of the Bola de Neve Balneário Camboriú.”

Alexandra revealed that the local pastor created “wounds in her soul” that she still carries with her. “Shepherd only by title, because she never cared for anyone but herself. The wounds were not just mine,” she said. “And 13 years ago I separated myself from this rotten system of manipulation and control of people. Which has nothing to do with the kingdom of God. Shame! That’s what I feel, plus a lot of regret.”

Rodolfo’s statements

Rodolfo added to his wife’s outburst on her Instagram: “I owed absolutely nothing. But what I want to say does not refer to the accusations that came to light for fraud, because this does not concern me. I have no evidence, no basis, no ability to accuse no one. What I’m here to say is that I’m with my wife and I saw how much emotional abuse she suffered in that ministry and we suffered a lot as a family at that time and we survived .scars of wounds that take time to heal.”

The former Raimundos singer also reported being “cancelled” by pastors and having his songs banned from worship services. “My wife’s name was Jezebel, I was accused of a debt to the church’s music label (which proved through accounting that I owed nothing),” he said.

“It has been 13 years since we left this ministry. Because we did not announce our departure at that time, many people, especially in our city, still think we are there. My wife and I are not aware of this, nor are we d ‘I agree with absolutely everything that has been done by the leadership since 2011, when we left,’ Rodolfo said. “The worst thing is the weight we still feel, the wounds and traumas that take too long to heal and still hurt. I am very sad about everything that is happening, because, once again, men in the name of Jesus misrepresent it “.

The singer exchanged Raimundos for the life of a believer

It is worth mentioning that Rodolfo left Raimundo in 2001 due to his religious conversion. He moved away from the stage and the secular musical environment, seeking a simpler life linked to his new conviction.

In this period Rodolfo began to attend the church of the Christian Community Paz e Vida, where he deepened his spirituality and began to take the first steps of his Christian journey. In 2003, he released his first solo album, “Santidade ao Senhor”, with lyrics that reflected his new faith and worldview.

In 2004 Rodolfo and his wife Alexandra joined the Bola de Neve church, where they were actively involved in the activities of the congregation. While they remained in Bola de Neve, Rodolfo continued to develop his gospel music career, releasing solo albums and participating in religious events. The couple left the Church in 2011, reporting negative experiences and emotional abuse at the institution.
