The former child actor Benji Gregoryknown for his participation in the American comedy series “Alf the stubborn“he was found dead in his car in a parking lot in Arizona. The information was confirmed by the actor’s sister, Rebeca Gregory, and released by the portal TMZ this Wednesday 10.

The bodies of Benji and Hans, the former star’s dog, were found on June 13. It is suspected that he had gone to the bank to make a deposit the day before, accompanied by his dog, and then fell asleep in the car. Those close to them believe the deaths were caused by heat stroke due to the intense heat in the region. The Maricopa Medical Examiner’s Office has not determined an official cause.

Rebecca told TMZ that her brother suffered from depression, bipolar disorder, and sleep disorders that often kept him awake for days. In honor of the former actor, the family suggested donating to Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA, institutions he supports.

Benji became known for playing the role of Brian Tanner in 101 episodes of “Alf the Stubborn”. In the series, an alien becomes a permanent member of an American family after falling into the garage of the house where they live. The episodes aired from 1986 to 1990.

After enlisting in the United States Navy in 2003, Benji left the entertainment industry. In 2005, he completed his military service when he received an honorable medical discharge.
