‘Bamboo Girl’ Pays Homage to Silvio Santos: ‘Heaven is Partying’

THE “bamboo girl”which embarrassed the presenter in 1985 Silvio Santo with a dirty joke on national television, he mourned the death of the host. Silvio died of bronchopneumonia after influenza infection (H1N1), this Saturday, 17, in Sao Paulo. He was 93 years old.

The Saint Catherine Daiza Carla Hurtado Lazartewho was still a child when she was approached by the Program’s communicator Silvio Santos, used social media to pay homage to Dono do Baú.

“Years ago I had the opportunity to meet Silvio up close and play on your show. Today, when I heard the news, I was sad. He participated indirectly in our life. He was part of many weekends that came to our house through your programs. Today heaven is certainly celebrating. My wish is that God brings comfort and peace to all his loved ones”, she wrote.

For more than 30 years, Daiza told a joke Silvio Santos Program which has gone down in the history of Brazilian television. “What’s the difference between the pole, the bamboo and the woman?”, asked the child. Silvio replied: “That’s nonsense.” light above, the woman gives birth below.” “And the bamboo?” asked Silvio. “Put it in your ass,” said the girl, leaving the presenter without action for a few seconds, obviously Silvio ‘recovered’ and ‘shamelessly’ changed, laughing.
