Actress, dancer and cultural producer, Rita Malot has turned to an online fundraiser to raise money for the treatment of a serious health problem. “I had left breast cancer in 2017 and now I have right breast cancer again,” she said on Facebook.

The fight for life coincides with a delicate moment in your professional career. He left São Paulo to found the restaurant and art center “Casa da Atriz”, in Aiuruoca, in the hinterland of Minas Gerais. He invested his savings in the project and, from what he reports, has not yet seen an economic return.

“All these events led me to bankruptcy and consequently to a deep depression, I lost 15 kilos and I lost my strength in the face of many difficulties and obstacles that I encountered along the way,” he says.

“Finally, after a few months, I was able to schedule my surgery through SUS at the Hospital da Mulher in São Paulo for December 4, and I really need help to cover all these costs with my stay, medicines, food and transfers to hospital every day for about 1 to 2 months for radiotherapy, chemotherapy and everything related to cancer treatment.

The appeal took effect. The target of R$ 12 thousand was exceeded with the participation of 51 donors on the Vakinha platform. It is still possible to take part in the campaign. Rita Malot posted a video reacting to the help. “I would like to thank the crowdfunding contributions, the friendship, the messages of affection, the love I received from everyone.”




The actress has an extensive CV in theatre, television drama and television advertising. At Globo, she starred in the soap operas ‘Vale Tudo’ (she played Marieta, an employee of the magazine ‘Tomorrow’), ‘Top Model’ and ‘Felicidade’ and in the series ‘AEIO Urca’ and ‘As Five’. .
