New secrets! Adriane Galisteu remembers the fight with Ayrton Senna

The launch of the Netflix series about the life of Ayrton Senna brought to light several stories about the iconic Formula 1 driver, including his family dynamics, professional achievements and personal relationships. One of the most discussed topics on social media is the three-time champion’s love story with the presenter Adriana Galisteu.

He recently participated in the documentary Senna 30 years old: the day that isn’t over yetproduced by Record and available on PlayPlus. In the documentary Galisteu reveals the details of one of the last conversations he had with Ayrton, which took place by telephone on 1 May 1994, the date of the fateful accident at the San Marino GP, in Ímola.

The presenter said they discussed Senna’s decision to participate in the race, at a time that, according to her, was a common couple’s argument. “You’re the only one who can’t escape. You don’t need to explain why, find a reason”Galisteu said to the pilot. According to her, Ayrton would have responded, surprised: “Are you crazy? How can I not run away? What are you telling me?”

Galisteu explained that his concern was for Ayrton’s safety, after the serious accidents that occurred that same weekend. “[Eu disse para ele] There is a time when you have to think about life. Don’t you see what’s happening”he commented.
